Recruit Front End Shovel Loader Nov 21st 2012, 07:49 A leading Engineering Construction company to recruit a Front End Shovel Loader for their project operations in Nigeria. Candidate will be responsible for the Operation of Front End Shovel Loader: Caterpillar/Daewoo/ Komatsu Type machinery. Set up or inspect equipment prior to operation REQUIREMENTS Minimum of O' Level Certificate (SSCE) Minimum of 6 – 7 years experience in the civil construction industry Knowledge of operating front end shovel loader caterpillar/daewoo /komatsu machinery Ability to track machinery faults and recommend necessary maintenance task. Good communication skills Other Responsibilities Move levers, depress foot pedals, and turn dials to operate power machinery, such as power shovels, stripping shovels, or scraper loaders. Receive written or oral instructions regarding material movement or excavation. Become familiar with digging plans, machine capabilities and limitations, and with efficient and safe digging procedures in a given application. Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications. Move materials over short distances, such as around a construction site. Operate machinery to perform activities such as backfilling excavations, and removal of ground materials. Lubricate, adjust, or repair machinery and replace parts, such as gears, bearings, or bucket teeth.  (Advantage) Create and maintain inclines and ramps, and handle slides, mud, and pit cleanings and maintenance.
