Accountant Jan 17th 2013, 12:23 Location: Rivers Description: A group of companies with interest in arts and culture, book promotion, career guidance and mentoring, consultancy and training, library development, media and publicity, project management and publishing.  We are currently seeking to engage dynamic, passionate, result oriented and self motivated individuals to fill up key positions in the group. Responsibilities: Managing the inflow and outflow of funds Compile and analyse financial information for the group Prepare financial statements and bank reconciliation analysis (monthly, quarterly and annually) of the group's financial transaction Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies and procedures Prepare and enter appropriate and comprehensive journal entries into accounting software tools Prepare periodic financial reports for Management when require Prepare product/programme cost accounting, product/programme price development and inventory management and control Establish and  monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process Manage, monitor and support taxation issues Maintain and account for petty cash including handling, reconciliation and reporting Prepare the Group's yearly budget, cash flow and funding analysis Work with the Management team to improve forecasting, budgeting, planning and financial analyses processes Develop and maintain financial data bases Analyse and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitment and future revenue Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses Qualifications and Requirements: Accounting degree or equivalent A professional certificate such as ICAN and ACCA will be an advantage Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles Knowledge of economic principles Knowledge of auditing practices and principle Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations Knowledge and experience of related computer related applications Minimum of 3 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.  Attention to details and accuracy  Strong communication and writing skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong planning, management and organisational skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills   Ability to multitask  A self starter Good team player Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Remuneration is  ttractive and will be commensurate with experience If you are qualified for this position, Send your CV to 8bb1@jbng.me or click http://www.jobberman.com/job/185761/accountant-in-rivers/ to apply
