An Architectural, Engineering, Procurement and Project Management company ranked amongst the top service provider companies in Nigeria for the Oil and Gas sector and a key player in design, Detailed Engineering, Project Management, FEED, Construction Operations & Maintenance and EPC projects for onshore and offshore is seeking to engage the services of a dynamic, intelligent and knowledgeable individuals to fill this position
Responsibilities: - Design of Electrical Power distribution system.
- Design & installation of transformers and protection/control, as well as motor control, plant lighting, and grounding.
- Control panel layout design& installation
- Low voltage power distribution systems installation
- Fieldbus design
- UPS design& installation
- Prepare technical reports and Client correspondences/presentations
- Review and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents for procurement of major electrical equipment as well as construction document packages.
- Assist in the preparation of the technical portions of Procurement documents (RFQs, POs), and review equipment tenders and vendor documents
- Assist in the coordination of project activities
- Visits to project sites and other design offices for project related activities, including commissioning and startup support
Qualifications and Requirements: - BSc or B.Eng Degree in relevant field
- Candidates must have previously worked in an Oil & Gas Construction Environment.
- 5 years minimum total post graduate experience in oil and gas industry
- Strong IT skills
- Candidate will be responsible for the full range of electrical design engineering services related to the design, construction, and site development of facilities including conventional buildings
- Candidate must be able to complete a wide variety of engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within the electrical engineering discipline.
- Candidate must be proficient in engineering theories and practices for power distribution systems (HV, MV, and LV) and electrical designs within infrastructure support facilities including pump stations, sewage treatment plants, etc.
- He must be proficient in CAD (computer aided design) applications and other latest software for designing.
- Candidate must be a chartered engineer (COREN or NSE) and show working experience as a Lead Designer experiences with a minimum of 5 years in this role.
- Candidate is required to be fluent in both written and oral English.
