Head of Primary School Jan 17th 2013, 11:51 Location: Ogun Description: We are a group of school in Ogun State, very popular and prides ourself on a very happy atmosphere, already showing high attainment in academic, performing arts and sport. We teach the Nigerian National Curriculum with the addition of the French and Chinese Languages, we require an enthusiastic and committed Head of School for this challenging post, the applicant will be a teacher who is also an excellent role model. Responsibilities: The head teacher will Review teachers' lesson plans, schedules, room arrangements and portfolio assessments. Manage all school policies including the one on the behaviour of pupils. To manage all staff, and to provide the provision of professional advice and guidance to colleagues. Manage and develop the school curriculum.  The Head Teacher shall seek to provide the best possible education for all pupils and to promote the corporate life of the school.  He shall be responsible for the day to day operation of the school and for the use of resources made available To act as adviser to the School Board and to participate in the selection and appointment of the staff of the school. Qualifications and Requirements: Hold a Bachelor of Education degree or hold a PGDE with the relevant Bachelor's Degree. Have experience and excellent knowledge of teaching the Nigerian National Curriculum and 4 year's experience are essential, Montessori experience an advantage. Have previous leadership and management skills coupled with outstanding classroom practice. Have strong IT skills.
