Description:
A real estate company located in Lagos is looking to recruit suitably qualified personnel to fill this position in their company.
Responsibilities: - Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance of project work;
- Assisting in establishing the client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
- Performing risk and value management and cost control; advising on procurement strategy; identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders; allocating work to subcontractors; providing advice on contractual claims; analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements: - Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- At least 3 - 5 years' experience as a quantity surveyor.
- Knowledge of cost accounting skill is essential
- High proficiency in the use of MS Excel Spreadsheet
- Must have good communications and interpersonal skills as well as being a team player.
- They will also have to get their head around building law and regulations, as well as health and safety matters, tax and insurance and contract law, so that they should understand the legal implications of any decision made.
- They are expected to have a broad range of building, managerial and communication skills, along with sound commercial awareness.
- They will need enthusiasm and leadership potential, since they'll probably be managing sub-contractors, and be able to think in an innovative way.
- They must be practical minded people who approach problem solving in a methodical and logical way.
- Mot more than 35 years of age
