Description:

A leading real estate development organization focused on providing affordable housing for low and medium income households across Nigeria and West Africa, in attractive and safe communities, as a contribution to socio-economic development. Beyond the delivery of over 10,000 residential and commercial properties over the next five years, the Lagos based company is also involved in construction of landmark projects and infrastructure development. Construction is ongoing in some of the project sites, while others are scheduled to commence not later than 2013. As a result of planned growth and a desire to build an institution with the capacity to support this expansion, vacancies now exist for the following position.

Summary:

  • The Sales Manager supports the Head, Sales & Marketing in the successful implementation of the Sales and Marketing plan of the organization. 
  • The primary delivery for the Sales & Marketing team is the successful sale of 10,000 housing units over a three year period and the Sales Manager is an integral member of the team involved in achieving this objective. 
  • The role demands a good understanding of the real estate market and the intricacies involved is selling to a diverse customer range with differing incomes.
  • This is a practical customer facing role requiring intense field work and sound market intelligence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • The minimum experience required in this position is 5 years.
  • A good first degree in any discipline with a minimum of 2nd Class lower will be required. Possession of a Masters or MBA degree and a diploma in Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with a background in selling Real Estate products come with an advantage but the primary delivery for the position is an ability to sell to a diverse customer base with differing incomes and purchasing ability. 
  • Candidates with an FMCG Sales and Marketing background will succeed in this role. This requires a lot of sophistication and maturity and candidates must be coming from a professionally run organization with a good grounding in marketing and selling techniques. 
  • The age range for this position is 25 – 35 years.
  • Self motivated and demonstrate a high energy level. 
  • Ability to work with a small inexperienced team to aggressively drive ambitious sales targets is a critical success factor. 
  • Integrity and self confidence are critical in this role and candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to work in an environment where ethics and values are cherished.
