Web Application Developer Jan 31st 2013, 14:29 Location: Abuja Description: We are a software firm, specialized in creating innovative solutions, with unparalleled expertise derived from experience working on projects that cut across all industries and business functions and focused on excellence in service and product delivery to match high-performance requirements from businesses and governments.  Responsibilities: Develop new Web applications as identified by supervisor and management through packaged and customized applications. Maintain and enhance existing Web applications and all internal systems are integrated. Perform complete testing of Web applications unit and system, engaging users as necessary. Conduct all user acceptances testing, and report results. Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use. Develop database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing. Develop external Web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information. Maintain the organizations corporate website ensuring strong functionality and optimization Provide PHP/JavaScript programming and database design functionality for web applications.  Qualifications and Requirements: Must  possess a BA/B.Sc in a related discipline. Must have 3-5 years experience in a similar field. Professional certification will be an added advantage. CV should contain previous work portfolio (Web links/sample of work).        Proven Web and Database Development experience particularly in developing ecommerce solutions. 1+ years of Drupal 7 or Joomla. In depth PHP, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5 knowledge. Strong database knowledge specifically SQL Server and MySQL. Graphical Design skills using Fireworks or Photoshop would be an added advantage. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn. Proven web and database development experience with hand written PHP, JavaScript and SQL. Must have worked on any web application in use. Demonstrable experience in  building real online applications in a LAMP environment and will be able to make a meaningful contribution from day one.
