Key Account Manager

The incumbent will be expected to achieve financial targets for assigned territory, utilise market intelligence to projects that hold potential, build rapport with key members of projects. Utilise all levels within BASF Construction Chemicals and the BASF Group to help penetrate projects and maximise revenue opportunities.Work closely with distributors and applicators to ensure best service offering to prospect and customer base.Assist in providing product and industry knowledge to ensure that there is a seamless interface between the customer, BASF Construction Chemicals, distributors, and applicators. Help to resolve potential conflicts within the process. Provide sales, stock and forecasting information as required. Any other duties to fulfill the role.

The suitable incumbent should posses a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Chemistry and possess an in-depth knowledge of construction and building practices.
Fluent in Chinese and English. Good communication skills, strong organisational skills, ability to plan own time, develop and maintain systems, work on priorities.
Good analytical and problem solving skills, good interpersonal skills wit ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation.
Capable of relating to many different personality types and nationalities, and build relationships.

Maintenance Technician

The incumbent will be expected to maintain the plant equipment. Other duties include maintenance of safety standards and housekeeping; enforce safety standards in area of responsibility; maintain workshop and maintenance storage area in tidy condition; keep protective equipment neat and tidy; ensure any third party contractor working in the plant complies with company safety rules and regulations; ensure all work is done in line with Clearance Certificate requirements; ensure all mandatory inspections are updated as required by relevant legislation Act; assist toimplement registers, checklists required by the RC program and work according to BASF standards; maintain plant and equipment in good working order and report non-conformances;conduct calibrations on measuring equipment that may effect quality; assist to minimise environmental impact; perform any other additional duties within the incumbent's ability or experience as may be required.

The ideal candidate should have completed a recoginised apprenticeship and possess "Trade Papers" as a Fitter and Turner and have previous experience in a chemical company as well as possess a valid forklift divers licence. Process controls system experienceis required. Other skills required are basic computer literacy and good communication skills. The candidate must be well organized, able to plan and prioritize activities, and perform well under pressure. Ability to work as member of a team and individually. Meet BASFpre-employment medical assessment requirements. Own transport and valid driver's license. Be willing to be on standby for designated periods. CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN AND GYNAECOLOGIST


The Duties 
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Modern Obstetrical Practice both routine and in emergency situations. Operative Obstetrics.
  • Gynaecological Consultations including infertility assessment, sexually transmitted diseases and pelvic infections.
  • Family planning counseling.

Senior Marine Supervisor


The appointee will be required to provide marine expertise and supervision to ensure safe and efficient Port and Terminal operations in support of Production, Commercial and Shipping Divisions business targets.

The Duties


The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Supervise Marine terminal operations to ensure full and effective implementation of the Port and Terminal Procedures for all visiting vessels at all Bonny Jetties.
  • Execute the agreed berthing schedules for Jetties 1 & 2 by implementing the NPA pilot's integrated schedule, coordinating utilisation of marine support craft. Schedule and ensure safe and effective execution of berthing operations at MOF jetties.
  • Monitor HSE and operational and technical performance of Marine Support Craft, Marine Infrastructure and Terminal equipment, reporting deficiencies to the respective responsible unit and suggesting improvements
  • Act as Marine focal point in all routine and operational communications, administration and interactions with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including (but not limited to) ISP, CMA, NPA Pilots, CSS, DES & FOB vessels, Ships Agents.

CONSULTANT ANAESTHETIST/ EMERGENCY CARE PHYSICIAN


The appointee will be required to efficiently deliver cost-effective general and specialist medical care to eligible staff, dependants, contractors and third parties in line with company policy to sustain a healthy and productive workforce.
The appointment will be for an initial 5 year period with possible renewal.
The Duties
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide general and specialist medical care to NLNG staff, dependants and other entitled stakeholders
  • Perform clinical assessment for fitness and provision of anaesthesia services during surgical operations.
  • Provide intensive care to critically ill patients and also adequate pain relief to patients.
  • Provide medical emergency, evacuation and resuscitation services.
  • Support the training and coordination of the activities of the Medical Emergency Response Team for effective emergency services.

Quality Assurance Officer


The appointee will be required to assist in conducting pre-charter inspection of vessels for NLNG business to ensure that vessels are fit for intended use. 

The Duties


The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in timely pre-hire inspections of tankers, barges and other crafts intended for NLNG services evaluate the suitability of vessels and identify any specific restrictions to apply.
  • Develop, maintain and validate records of inspections conducted on tankers, barges and coastal crafts for updating NLNG Ship Vetting Database
  • Ensure timely notification to shipping interest within Company of any tanker or coastal vessels having significant deficiencies or considered to be of an unacceptable standard for NLNG shipping activity.
  • Ensure the provision of vetting advice to various interested Departments within NLNG on ship quality and respond to with ship owners and managers on vetting enquiries.
  • Maintain contacts of accredited SIRE inspectors for performance of pre and mid-term time charter inspections by NLNG when required.
  • Participate in inspection of NLNG chartered vessels, assist ship masters during Oil Major, Port State Control and other third party inspections of NLNG chartered vessels.
  • Participate in business review of owners / managers of tankers and coastal vessels chartered by NLNG.

Laboratory Analyst


The appointee will be required to:
  1. Provide safe custody of analytical equipment and quality assurance work in support of the analytical applications in 1 of the 2 sections of the laboratory, and 
  2.  Support operations to achieve the production targets, providing non delayed services.
The Duties
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Carry out timely and reliable routine and non-routine own section analytical tasks according to Sample Manger schedule and as may be assigned involving a combination of different laboratory techniques.
  • Assist to carry out normal, non-specialist maintenance & troubleshooting of equipment under custody.
  • Contribute to and carry out test method validation including quality assurance work for the analytical applications under custody according to ASTM D6299 guidelines in compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Contribute to the HSE performance of the laboratory including daily housekeeping tasks, waste inventory update and disposal, safe handling of sample bottles and empty gas cylinders according to ISO 14001 standards with adherence to industry best practices.
  • Contribute to and realize targets to ensure continuous improvements of laboratory services to customers including development of standard operating procedures for own custody laboratory equipment and analytical test methods according to site wide management systems requirements.
ThePerson  
The right candidate should:
  • Possess HND (minimum of Upper Credit) preferably in Chemistry or related Analytical Chemical Technology discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year post-qualification technical experience preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.

Senior Terminal Assurance


The appointee will be required to implement the processes for assessing the suitability and compatibility of all LNG terminals that NLNG Chartered vessels might call at in Asia and other parts of the world (Except Europe and America) including the provision of appropriate port entry guidelines to the Shipping Division.

The Duties


The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensure that all marine terminals used by NLNG in Asia are vetted and their conditions continuously reported in the NLNG Marine Terminal Vetting Database.
  • Develop and maintains comprehensive database for Asian ports for updating NLNG Vetting information Database.
  • Liaise with port authorities and berth operators to ensure that the safety and security of berths as well as standard of services is adequate, timely and cost effective.
  • Liaise with Ports and harbor authorities to ensure all shipping and terminal compliance issues are addressed and corrected timely. Monitor all events which will impact safe transit in/out of ports including port security and ensure that all NLNG interests are appropriately advised
  • Issue specific instructions to Fleet Operations Department for such matters as optimum voyage performance in the ports/terminal vicinity.
  • Conduct due diligence inspection for newly nominated discharge terminals in Asia
  • Carry out annual schedule of inspections and/or audits covering all the terminals used by NLNG chartered vessels
  • Monitor HSSE performance and Manage LOP issues of NLNG chartered vessels at discharge terminals in Asia

  • Possess a Class 1 (Deck officer) certificate of competency

SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (SHIP/SHORE COMPATIBILITY)


The appointee will be required to initiate, develop and maintain processes to ensure that ship / terminal technical compatibility studies are conducted for all NLNG project vessels calling at Bonny Terminal to confirm vessel's compatibility with terminal for ensuring safe and efficient port operations. The appointee will report functionally and administratively to the Head, Shipping Quality Assurance.

The Duties


  • Conduct ship/ shore technical compatibility assessment on all vessels to be chartered by NLNG to ensure that they can safely enter, load or discharge at nominated NLNG trading terminals.
  • Develop, maintains and reviews compatibility criteria taking into account development and changes on vessels and ports used by NLNG
  • Promote best ship/shore practice for ensuring the security of moored vessels in all weather conditions and compliance with industry guidelines (OCIMF MEG).
  • Participate in the investigation of all mooring incidents involving NLNG chartered vessels in Bonny or any of the discharge ports.
  • Maintain NLNG Bonny terminal SIGTTO portal to revise and communicate changes and development at bonny terminal.
  • Act as focal point for all compatibility enquiries from ship owners and managers interested in the compatibility of their ships with Bonny Terminal.
  • Participate in inspection of NLNG chartered vessels, assist ship masters during Oil Major, Port State Control and other third party inspections of NLNG chartered vessels.
  • Participate in business review of owners / managers of tankers and coastal vessels chartered by NLNG

Senior Fleet Trainer and Auditor


The appointee will be required to initiate, develop, maintain and implement effective Systems and procedures for training shipping and shipboard personnel and for auditing NLNG Shipping and Marine assets / companies for continuous improvement.

The Duties


The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop, maintain and implement protocol for internal audit of Shipping Division and BGT vessels.
  • Develop, plan and Implement NLNG Shipping audit plans, follow up progress and provide initiatives to management on audit recommendations
  • Conduct periodic Ship Management Audit Review (SMAR) of BGT vessels by sailing onboard the vessel for life assessment of the process onboard
  • Carry out onboard assessment/appraisal of personnel including mandatory STCW readiness assessment, when so required, and report as instructed
  • Conduct Fleet training onboard BGT vessels for crew and officers on the vessels
  • Monitor technology developments in navigational, engineering and safety standards and provide analysis and trend to SD Management and Fleet Managers
  • Prepare and  implement a documented process for onboard training of officers and crew in Navigation, Engineering and safety matters on BGT Fleet reporting the outcome to the Crew and Fleet Manager

Assistant Project Engineer


The appointee will be required to undertake the following:
  1. To work as part of a multi-discipline team engaged in major shipbuilding and refit projects for LNG and LPG carriers and offshore units such as FLNG and FLPG barges.
  2. To assist in certain aspects of the design and construction under guidance from a Senior Engineer.
The Duties
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • To participate in preparation / review of technical specifications, evaluation of bids, design development processes, plan approval, visits to shipyards during construction and commissioning, attending factory acceptance tests and sea trials.
  • Ensure that the design/ construction of new ships is in line with the requirements in the way of safety; operability and reliability are in line with the policies set by the Division for the Group.
  • To prepare with Project Engineer alternative decisions and recommendations on systems, equipment, contractors and methods for beneficial use in place of obsolete, unreliable or less efficient systems/subjects on the customer's vessels. Analyze and advise on vessel operating parameters to identify inefficient machinery, hull condition, bunker and lubricant consumption and take prompt action so as to limit any further deterioration.
  • Ensure that the customer is guided to the most effective route for bringing the ships into service and ensuring the limitation of cost during lay-up.
  • Provide expert guidance to other departments in the Shipping Division concerned with the chartering of the vessels on technical aspects for most benefit to the Group/ Provide Technical advice and support.In liaison with the Project Engineer, assist the Fleet Manager to co-ordinate and produce all out of service repair and refit specifications, and liaise with procurement department to ensure that necessary equipment is ordered, arrange specialist contractors, review and finalize Yard tender analysis document.
  • In liaison with the Fleet Manager, supervise contractors, ship's staff and surveyors to ensure the refit is conducted to satisfactory standard, tendered cost and on time. Agree Yard work list and invoice subject to final approval of SDM; On completion of the refit:
    1. Produce a review of achieved Yard performance on time, cost and quality against that tendered.
    2. Prepare detailed report of the work carried out.
    3. Recommend work to be done at future refits.
  • Ensure and monitor the application of international, national and classification society rules and regulations which apply or are proposed for application to LNG carriers and how they affect ship designs and operation
  • Promote Health, Safety and Environment and Quality Management policies of NLNG within NLNG and to third parties involved with management of BGT vessels.
The Person
The right candidate should:
  • Possess a minimum of Class 2 Engineer Certificate of Competency and a Bachelor's degree (Minimum of Second Class Upper) or HND (Minimum of Upper Credit) in Mechanical/Marine Engineering
  • Have a minimum of 8 years of Shipping operations experience within an integrated shipping/oil/gas company, with 2 years as 2nd Engineer on LNG/LPG carriers, OR 2 years working experience as senior officer in shipping operations.
  • Not be more than 40 years old as at 31st December, 2014.

SHIPPING ASSURANCE & EMERGENCY RESPONSE COORDINATOR


The appointee will be required to initiate, develop, maintain and implement adequate Shipping Emergency Response and Security Assurance procedures and processes to enhance the safety and security of NLNG project vessels and maritime assets.

The Duties


The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan, organize and participate in Shipping and Marine Emergency Response Exercises or co-ordinate actual Shipping or Marine Emergency responses
  • Manage NLNG Shipping Emergency response capability to ensure readiness at all times
  • Lead or participate in related shipping and maritime investigations and audits
  • Initiate, develop and implement Shipping and Maritime Emergency Response and Security Assurance processes to protect NLNG interest
  • Liaising with the NLNG or discharge Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), NLNGSS or Fleet manager's Company Security Officer (CSO), Shipboard security officers (SSO) in order to agree priorities for maritime security advice and support
  • Initiate, Manage and Administer a Best Management Practice (BMP) Compliance programme for both managed and chartered vessels Management of the Global Maritime Security Advisory Transit and Vessel Particulars databases
  • Work in liaison with the CSS team to provide security assurance and Security risk management for vessels calling at NLNG terminal or employed for NLNG Business.
The Person 
The right candidate should:
  • Possess a Class 1 (Deck or Engine officer) certificate of competency, OR a Bachelor's degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in a relevant discipline
  • Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in shipboard operations with at least 6 years sea-going experience of which 2 years actual sea service must have been served in a senior position, OR be an ex Nigerian Navy deck officer at or above the rank of Commander with at least one year verifiable sea time.
  • Experience in intelligence gathering and the Nigerian Maritime industry will be an added advantage.
  • Not be more than 40 years old as at 31st December, 2014.
