Chief Finance Officer Jan 25th 2013, 12:20 Location: Lagos Description: A leading real estate development organization focused on providing affordable housing for low and medium income households across Nigeria and West Africa, in attractive and safe communities, as a contribution to socio-economic development. Beyond the delivery of over 10,000 residential and commercial properties over the next five years, the Lagos based company is also involved in construction of landmark projects and infrastructure development. Construction is ongoing in some of the project sites, while others are scheduled to commence not later than 2013. As a result of planned growth and a desire to build an institution with the capacity to support this expansion, vacancies now exist for the following position. Report to: Chief Executive Officer Summary: The Chief Finance Officer will lead the finance function of the organization and have oversight for monitoring her financial affairs.  Responsibilities: Serve as the principal executive accountable for financial strategy development and execution in the Company and is responsible for ensuring the integration of both operational and financial measures aimed at efficiency, growth and profitability of the business in the long-term.  Ensures adequacy of funding/ liquidity for the business and effective treasury management activities. This includes ensuring the provision of detailed financial data, as well as relevant, accurate and prompt analysis with recommendations required for daily financing decisions. Budgeting, financial performance monitoring and reporting are also key functions.  Effectively manage the acquisition, use, maintenance and disposal of all capital and financial assets of the Company.   The CFO will also be the effective liaison between the Company and its fund managers.    Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 10 years working experience in a structured environment with at least 5 years as a departmental head. A good first degree with a minimum 2nd Class lower in any discipline and an appropriate accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA etc).  Possession of a Masters or MBA degree will be an added advantage. The age range for this position is 35 – 45 years. Intellectually sound, ambitious, hardworking and disciplined individual with unimpeachable integrity, Able to design and implement innovative funding options.  The position requires excellent networking and relationship management skills, sound judgement, decisiveness and a high level of confidentiality.
