Description:

A leading real estate development organization focused on providing affordable housing for low and medium income households across Nigeria and West Africa, in attractive and safe communities, as a contribution to socio-economic development. Beyond the delivery of over 10,000 residential and commercial properties over the next five years, the Lagos based company is also involved in construction of landmark projects and infrastructure development. Construction is ongoing in some of the project sites, while others are scheduled to commence not later than 2013. As a result of planned growth and a desire to build an institution with the capacity to support this expansion, vacancies now exist for the following position.

Job Summary:

The Head, Sales & Marketing will be expected to play a leadership role in the conceptualization and introduction of new products; and business development. The successful candidate will also lead a Sales team with ambitious sales targets. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Come up with a strategic Sales and Marketing plan to sell over 10,000 housing units to be developed within the next three years. 
  • This position calls for a deep knowledge and understanding of market segmentation and the ability to market and sell different products to a diverse customer range with differing incomes and purchasing power.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A good first degree in any discipline with a minimum of 2nd class lower and a qualification in Marketing will be required. Possession of a Masters or MBA degree will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to adapt will be critical in this position and minimum experience required in this position is 10 years in a structured environment.
  • The ideal candidate would have acquired hands on experience in a professionally run organization that specializes in marketing and selling real estate products. 
  • Candidates with solid experience acquired in the marketing and sales of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) will be considered.
  • Previous and current experience in a business development role will be required. 
  • A dynamic and hardworking individual with an enviable track record of selling in a competitive market. 
  • The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, able to galvanize the team to achieve exceptional results.
  • The position requires the ability to plan, coordinate, monitor consumer trends and actual achieved sales. 
  • Personal Integrity and ability to work in a system where ethics and values are valued will be critical success factors.
  • The age range for this position is 30 – 40 years.
