Information Systems Audit Location: Lagos,NG Function Job Summary Perform audit reviews by evaluating the confidentiality, integrity, availability, efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of information and telecommunications systems deployed by Etisalat Nigeria Mitigate potential risks by appraising adequacy and soundness of internal controls implemented by Etisalat Nigeria’s management information systems (IS) and technical areas Principal Functions Perform IS audits, technical audits, and other special reviews in IS and telecoms following a risk based audit approach in accordance with applicable audit standards, best practices and other relevant guidelines while maintaining independence, objectivity, and confidentiality at all times Review reliability, completeness, accuracy, and validity of data/ information produced by the IS and telecoms network elements to check relevance with management requirements and established company policies Perform independent risk assessment by following a standard/ methodology to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities and their impact on business and likelihood of occurrence. Develop audit procedures accordingly to test related controls and make appropriate recommendations to mitigate such risks Prepare audit programmes, questionnaires and other audit working papers for the review of Manager-IS & Technical Audit Conduct audit review of information and communications technology infrastructure i.e. IT networks, operating systems, software utilities, databases, network devices, and telecoms network to evaluate and report on system integrity, confidentiality, availability, efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and business requirements Review current and future telecoms network plans and projects, network optimization parameters and capacity dimensioning to ensure that these are in line with the business strategy and requirements Investigate technical problems that exist in telecoms network and correctly identify root causes and recommend appropriate solution(s) to management Prepare system notes, flow charts using specialized software tools and audit working papers in accordance with auditing standards i.e. sufficient, reliable, relevant and useful evidence to support findings and recommendations Ensure audit working papers are adequately referenced and stored in a secure manner Prepare audit observations and develop recommendations by relating technology controls to achieve business requirements of information and prepare audit reports for review by Manager-IS & Technical Audit Demonstrate proficiency by applying IS audit principles, skills, and techniques to review and test computer applications and IS technologies of varying complexities Understand financial, operational, and compliance risks and formulate solutions to mitigate risks in the information technology and telecoms environment Conduct investigations/ special reviews that might arise as a result of audit reviews. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager-IS & Technical Audit Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering-related disciplines, e.g Computer, Electronics, and Telecommunications Engineering CISA, CISSP and/ or other professional qualifications in IT and Technical Audit mandatory Other professional qualifications including, but not limited to ACCA, ACA, CIA and/ or CPA will provide an added advantage Experience,Skills & Competencies Between three (3) and five (5) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience in IS and telecoms technical audit Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience in the following job-specific areas: IS/ information and applications protection Telecoms business and operations support systems Internal audit/ control Ideal candidate must also be a good communicator and problem-solver with high levels of professionalism and integrity.
