About Your Job:
In this role you will be responible to assist in making and confirming reservations for passengers, selling tickets for the the airlines lines and to assist passengers requiring special assistance to board or depart conveyance.
You will initiate and promote Qatar Airways products & services, assist in reservation & ticketing for passengers and serve all customers professionally through telephone or in person in order to achieve customer satisfaction. You will deal with customers at the counter, and other related administration duties.

About You:
To be successful in this role you must have a University Degree with a minimum of 1 years experience in an airline/travel/hospitality industry. You will be service oriented with good interpersonal skills. Knowledge in IATA standard reservation/ticketing procedures is required with fair knowledge of world geography and exposure to reservation system is advantageous. Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and adequate knowledge of PC-based applications are also required.

Job: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (Polio), P3, Abuja 

Purpose of the Job
Under the close guidance of the Chief of Communications, Polio Unit, Abuja, you will provide technical oversight and guidance to the monitoring, evaluation and data management requirements of the communication and social mobilization component of the polio programme nationwide. This includes analysis of epidemiological & social data from MIS and preparation of reports & technical presentations for use with partners, trainings & workshops.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Plan (IMEP):
Make professional contributions to and provide technical assistance for the planning and establishing the major research, monitoring and evaluation objectives, priorities, and activities in Polio/EPI required in UNICEF`s multi-year and annual IMEPs. Identify the M&E objectives, priorities, and activities in Polio/EPI required for the country and in the partnership on polio/EPI.
  1. Situation Monitoring and Assessment:
Support the preparation of LGA, state and country level statistical and analytic reports on the status of polio and EPI coverage and share it with al partners at all levels to influence communication and social mobilisation decisions.
  1. Programme Performance Monitoring:
Provide technical support to ensure that a set of programme performance indicators is identified and adjusted as necessary. Coordinate with partners to ensure that monitoring systems are properly designed, and that data collection and analysis from field visits are coordinated and standardised, and fed into programme performance monitoring, drawing on monitoring and analysis of key performance and management indicators, provide professional input to management reports.
  1. M&E Capacity Building:
Promote the awareness and understanding of the shared responsibility of M& E function among all staff members through communication, training, learning and development activities. In close collaboration with partners, ensure that an M&E capacity building strategy for UNICEF/ and WHO staff NPHCAD and other institutions exists. Collaborate to implement capacity building strategies as a joint commitment with other developmental partners. Utilize a range of appropriate skills building strategies including self-learning, seminars and workshops and practical experience. Similarly, design and implement strategies suited to the skills needs of national partners.
  1. Coordination and Networking:
Collaborate with Regional M&E Advisers and HQ Evaluation Office for overall coordination of priority research, monitoring and evaluation activities, especially those of regional scope requiring the coordinated effort of multiple countries. Partner with the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser to ensure that current and accurate M&E data and results are included in regional reports, multi-country studies, and knowledge sharing networks. Undertake lessons-learned reviews on successful and unsuccessful M&E practices and experience at the national level, and ensure they are shared as appropriate. Similarly, pay attention to M&E knowledge networks to identify innovations and lessons learned that may be relevant for the CO and partners to improve their M&E function.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, statistics, planning, development, demography.*
  • Five years of relevant work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation activities. Developing country work experience is an asset. At least one instance of exposure to emergency programming, including preparedness planning. Active involvement in a humanitarian crisis response programme preferred.
  • Fluency in English and another UN language. Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset.
*A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

We are looking for outstanding and experienced State Team Managers for a large, potential DFID-funded Programme on Maternal, Newborn and
Child Health in Nigeria. Working closely with and managing a core staff of technical and administrative programme experts, you will ensure that state level project objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of the donor are adhered to. This is a full-time position in Nigeria contingent upon a successful award.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Providing overall state level technical leadership and representation of the project, under the direction of the State Team Director, and building a senior management team able to convey the overall purpose, activities, and achievements of the project;
  • Overall strategic, programmatic, financial, and management responsibility at the state level;
  • Working closely with and managing a large team of technical and administrative professionals to achieve programme success;
  • Effectively leveraging global technical assistance to ensure effective and high quality programme delivery;
  • Accountability for project objectives, outcomes, and milestones at the state levels and ensures that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of the donor are followed.                                            
You will demonstrate:
  • An advanced degree in public health or a relevant field;
  • At least 5 years of experience managing international health programmes, with a record of successful team leadership and achieving programme objectives;
  • At least 3 years' experience on international health programmes for key health development partners, including, but not limited to, DFID, USAID, AusAID and the European Union;
  • Substantial experience working on reproductive health and health systems strengthening in Northern Nigeria in Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara or Yobe states;
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of contemporary health system dynamics and MNCH challenges;
  • Demonstrated capabilities in management, capacity building, high-level strategic visioning, and leadership;
  • Experience working effectively with district and provincial government authorities;
  • Excellent written and spoken English is a must.

Job Description

  • Supervise and coordinate Site Construction activities done by contractors from site survey, camp erection till pipeline commissioning, hand-over and demobilization.
  • Ensure Company Technical Documents are being implemented by contractor at Site.
  • Management of the Site Construction supervision team, and control of contractor activities.
  • Report to O.U.R. Pipeline Project Manager.
  • Co-ordination within O.U.R. supervision team in HSE, QA/QC and contractual matters.
  • Assistance to the Project engineers for interfaces management, detailed and construction engineering review.
  • Participate to local O.U.R. team members training and development though Project execution.
  • Assist the Project Management Team to ensure compliance of contractor construction activities with EPNL and Project safety objectives throughout the life of the Project.
  • Manage the Site Construction supervision team, in order to achieve a proper control of all contractor activities and work for all areas and disciplines.
  • Assess the seriousness and urgency of possible problems encountered by or with contractor, and, when necessary, to obtain an acceptable remedial actions plan from contractor.
  • Assess the relevancy of the construction related VOR issued by contractor, and prepare supporting data for the purpose of the internal VOR Review Meeting, under the responsibility of the Construction Manager.
  • Prepare and attend the Weekly, Monthly and, when concerned, ad-hoc meetings with contractor.
  • Maintain good relationships with contractor in order to achieve Project objectives.
  • Keep informed the O.U.R. Package Manager of all events which may affect the successful completion of the Project goals.
  • Assist the O.U.R. Pipeline Project Manager to co-ordinate the Site Commissioning, Site Quality Surveillance activities, Site Safety, Site Security, Site Engineering and Site Services as required.
  • Provide input and review to detailed design & construction engineering phase.
  • Put in place an appropriate hand-over system with his back to back, in accordance with the O.U.R. Pipeline Project Manager's request.
  • Report on construction activities to Project Controls.
  • Prepare data for the purpose of the Project Site reporting to be made Project Controls.
  • Assist CLO/CRO in communities management matters as necessary.
  • Work in close relationship with NAPIMS representatives assigned to Site and, on their request, provide available information on the work performed by contractor.
  • Assist the project in compliance with EPNL & O.U.R. Project objectives.
  • Accountable for safety on construction site,
  • Accountable for quality level of construction and construction progress.
  • Ensure that the O.U.R Pipeline Project Manager is informed of any and all contractual or technical issues.
  • Technical and schedule interfaces are correctly managed within the scope of the job holder.

Skills & Experience

  • Experienced superintendent/construction manager with a good level of technical understanding of all disciplines, with extensive experience of large onshore pipeline projects.
  • Good understanding of the Contractual relationships between company, contractor and their sub-contractors.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing), Negotiation and Team Management skills.

This is a contract position.
