Provide Technical and Value Assurance of all Geosciences input to key Asset Management deliverables as the operating company's technical authority on geosciences. Develop, maintain and deliver in-house technical courses and best practice guidelines in integrated reservoir modelling for reservoir and field studies input to field development plans. Ensure quality management of Geosciences data, information, documents and records. Ensuring that across APDNL & APENL, all geoscience related safety critical activities (shallow, geo hazards etc.) are identified and have effective response processes. Development and execution of Geosciences Functional Improvement Plans for APDNL & APENL. Development of skills and competencies of the Geosciences skill-pool in APDNL & APENL including resourcing of new staff and development of standard Geosciences learning programmes, together with technical coaching and mentoring schemes, and the implementation of on-boarding programs for new technical professionals within the discipline. Provide input to scope of geological, geophysical and petrophysical work required to support short, medium and long term Technical Work Programmes for APDNL and APENL development assets Plan, implement, supervise, and monitor all geosciences technical studies projects, leading to detailed description of subsurface formations, quantification of oil and gas resources, and estimation of exploitation risks. Requirements Geosciences Head
Minimum B.Sc. in Geology or Geophysics. M. Sc. will be an advantage. Membership of relevant professional organisation(s) such as NAPE, NMGS, AAPG or SPE is desirable but not necessarily a prerequisite. Seasoned technical professional with at least fifteen years of experience in the area of Production Geology/Seismology and at least fundamental application of petrophysics, with strong leadership skills. The last three years should be at least at the principal geoscientist engineering level. A working knowledge of Oil and Gas development work processes and proven track record in product delivery are essential. Proficiency in the use of subsurface evaluation software, modelling tools and Microsoft suite of applications.
