Senior .NET Programmer Jan 22nd 2013, 14:22 Location: Lagos Description: We are an emerging leader in providing web & software solutions worldwide. Specializing in .NET technologies and with close ties to leading Microsoft Partners in the UK. We require an experienced Senior .NET Programmer to fill this position. Reports to: Technical Director & Project Director Responsibilities: Build new systems with .NET 4.0 / ASP.NET/ C# / SQL Server 2008/2012 / Silverlight / WPF Develop new functionality on our existing software products Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, Javascript and C# Design, code and test new windows and web software application Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of HND or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area equivalent is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in a professional capacity with a minimum of three (3) years' experience with ASP.NET/C# Microsoft certifications are a plus Knowledge of ORM technologies such as Entity Framework / nHibernate essential Knowledge of LINQ and Web Services also essential. Demonstrable knowledge of Design Patterns: MVVM, MVP, MVC etc Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework including Visual Studio 2008, C#, XML, VB.NET,ASP.NET, WCF Web Services and ADO.NET Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices Strong SQL Programming experience Solid understanding of object-orientated programming (OOP) Candidates should be self-motivated, independent. Passionate about building high quality systems with software implementation best practices. Must live in Lagos. Beneficial: Knowledge of the following technologies is beneficial, but not essential. However, will give an edge over fellow competitors: Umbraco Sitecore Experience of building multi-tier systems Commercial experience building high-volume websites Knowledge of financial systems Building multi-threaded applications HTML 5 Telerik Toolkit MVC3 PDF Generation Document Management Systems Scanning solutions SMS Gateways Mobile application development Windows 8 Metro App Development Windows Mobile App Development Compensation: Salary base and benefits will commensurate with experience.
