Job Description

The Account Manager- West Africa reports to the SVP Sales. This newly created role is responsible for managing all customer relationships at executive and operational level across various mobile operator accounts in West Africa. The key purpose is to develop and execute on the accounts plan by defining all key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve all the key objectives (financial, operational and customer satisfaction). The Account Manager -West Africa acts as the main interface for all communications, coordinating issues and functioning as the main escalation point between Upstream and the customer.This role is based in Lagos, Nigeria and a relocation package, including housing  and driver may be included.

Key Accountabilities

·       Responsible for dedicated accounts in West Africa

·       Deliver the target financial performance from the accounts (Revenue, EBITDA)

·       Manage the complete P&L, business and marketing plans for the account 

·       Ensure completion of all project related activities

·       Expatriate preferred

Desired Skills & Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·       At least 4 years' experience (within the VAS and Telecommunications sector)

·       Combined experience of at least 8 years in sales, or account management

·       Demonstrated understanding of VAS products

·       Understanding of business and proven track record of managing major operators in  Africa

·       Proven experience of engaging with 'C' level contacts

·       Ability to map out mobile operator's organization structure and political power base

·       Salesmanship and effective communications

·       Time management (ability to work alone and develop own daily/weekly agenda)

·       A self-starter with high attention to detail

·       Great team work and collaboration spirit

·       Strong willingness to relocate and gain international experience

Our client, a leader in the oil and gas industry is seeking a talented Data Control Lead to implement the control systems, processes, procedures and work instructions as per the Information Management Plan. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the project IM function and to the success of the Capital Projects and technical integrity of the operating assets, working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, implementing and improving global IM standards and identifying innovative IM solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Substanstial / Extensive experience in Information Management in Capital Projects; previous exposure as a Data controller is compulsory.
  • Previous Experience of working in an Asset O&M team will be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous Experience of OR&A activities including CMMS build and of managing as-built data and documents.
  • Experience of working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems preferable.
  • A sound understanding of the project maintenance Engineering environment and awareness of the associated business processes
  • Good working knowledge of the Project Data Control and relevant processes, familiar with data-modeling methodology
  • Sound understanding on the IM SoW and information Specification, DEP Engineering Information Specification (EIS) and related documents.
  • Knowledge of engineering applications in terms of data content, for example E-Spir, PDMS, P&ID, SPE, SPI, SAP/PM; working knowledge of (at least some) project reporting software such as Crystal, Business Objects, MS Access and Excel.

General Accountability

  1. The sales head would device and recommend a roadmap for the distribution strategy for the company to ensure maximum width and depth of distribution

  6. Hiring of the entire sales force and device the relevant induction program for the sales team. Also develop an incentive plan, to motivate the company sales force as well as distributor's sales force
  7. Review Sales performances of the entire sales team and implement relevant training programs for improved performances
  8. Recommend & implement policies to ensure retention of the high potential / performing employees
  9. Lead the process of forecasting and setting the sales targets for all geographies ensuring an equitable growth across. Continuously review sales performance of all geographies to ensure achievement of the sales targets.
  10. Monitor and track the BTL budgets periodically alongside ensuring that the BTL budgets are judicially utilized transforming to targeted sales growth
  11. To ensure a smooth business, ensure 100% recovery of the money against stocks sold to the trade, suggest means of minimizing company's exposure
  12. Implement and enhance the linkages between Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Finance through active review and analysis of gaps/opportunities

Experience Range Required:

At least 12-15 years of relevant experience preferably in FMCG environment, out of which at least 4 years in a higher managerial position

Academic Background :

University degree in Business Administration/or any of the Social Sciences or Master's degree
