Location: Lagos
Description:

A world class IT, telecommunication and consultancy company is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities: 
  • Supporting the development of business opportunities in conjunction with the technical team
  • Where appropriate providing consultancy to aid customers in the development of their ICT (data and communications) requirements
  • Understanding the customer requirement and, by using knowledge of the company's products and services, translating these requirements into functional, effective and appropriate solutions
  • Providing Sales Support for Bids and Proposals
  • Producing functional design documentation for handover to engineering teams
  • Validating appropriate order/solution documentation initiated by sales prior to submission to the build team, OR, in the case of projects: briefing the Project team to ensure they are able and equipped to deliver the solution
  • Ensuring that customer solutions remain fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle by conducting regular customer reviews and initiating appropriate change
  • Undertaking and managing Projects related to testing new equipment and configurations in relation to the IP Telephony Products
  • Keeping the customer aware of emerging technologies, products and services developed by the business
  • Formal training of the Technical aspects of the services to Partners. The training to be undertaken as part of the Services Accreditation
  • Providing product knowledge transfer to other members of the sales organisation to enhance their ability to use products to create customer solutions
  • Developing and Managing Test Strategies with Manufacturers.
  • Will be working directly with a wide array of large enterprise customers across private and public sectors. 

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of B.Sc. in any related discipline
  • At least 10 years business management experience preferably in IT
  • Excellent client facing presentation skills and ability to adopt a commercial, consultative approach.
  • Highly experienced in pre-sales within Telecommunications or IT .
  • Demonstrable experience within a pre-sales / sales engineering / customer solutions architect position with both strong technical and commercial skills
  • Extensive training provided
  • Good spoken & written communication skills
