Senior Motorman

 

Job Description

The hiring entity for this position is Pacific Drilling's Nigerian affiliate, Pacific International Drilling West Africa Limited.

Position Summary:

The Motorman assists in completion of the preventative / corrective maintenance and continually maintains the engine and auxiliary equipment rooms a safe and clean area. By making rounds on a daily basis and responsible for entering equipment readings in the engine room logbook, the Motorman holds a key function in the engine room department.

Job Description

Position Summary:

Assist the Driller in the planning and execution of all drilling operations for the main or auxiliary well centers. He/she is responsible for operating all drilling, hoisting and mud circulating equipment, following directions from the well program in accordance with Pacific Drilling policies and procedures, in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Scope:

The Assistant Driller will be assigned to work in any area onboard where activities pertaining to drilling operations are being conducted.

  • NOV 6th generation cyber chair experience.
  • NOV MUX control 5th generation experience or higher.

Position Summary

The 3rd Engineer is in charge of executing preventative/corrective maintenance tasks and ongoing maintenance repairs to equipment pertaining to power plant, dynamic positioning systems, living quarter's equipment, and performs watch stander duties.

Position Scope

The 3rd Engineer executes the preventative / corrective maintenance tasks and ongoing maintenance repairs in his / her area of responsibility. He/She also verifies the entries in the Oil Record Book and Engine Room Logbook are correct, and performs watch stander duties when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Two years of offshore / merchant navy experience, preferably on a dynamically positioned drilling vessel and worked in the position of 2nd Engineer (3rd Engineer Non US).
  • An unlimited horsepower Second Engineer's (Third class motor STCW A-III/1) watch keeping license/certificate of competency, without limitations of horsepower, issued by his/her National Maritime Administration in compliance with the STCW Code.
  • Medium voltage experience (1000V or higher).
  • Senior School certificate (SSCE)/ West Africa Examination Council (WAEC)/ GCE O/L, OND in Nigeria is equivalent of 2 years associate degree in U.S., while HND or BSc is for 4 years (with at least 120 credits/units)

The 2nd Engineer liaises daily with the Chief Engineer/First Engineer regarding the preventative maintenance to plan maintenance in an efficient manner and with a proactive attitude to prevent non-productive time. The 2nd Engineer performs watch standing duties as required and is responsible for correct entries in the Oil Record Book and Engine Room Logbook.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Five years of offshore / merchant navy experience, preferably on a dynamically positioned drilling vessel with a minimum of two years' experience in the position of 2nd Engineer (3rd Engineer Non-U.S.).

Job Description

Position Summary:

He/She is responsible for providing the necessary power and services to the drilling operations and other support operations.

Position Scope:

The Technical Superintendent is the leader of the maintenance service team onboard the drillship and acts as a focal point for all equipment and vessel related issues onboard. He/she coordinates the preventative and corrective maintenance team onboard the vessel and with input from the other members of the Rig Management Team and Marine Department, sets priorities in order to ensure maximum safety, optimum efficiency and preservation of the facility and its equipment onboard. He/she is ultimately responsible to ensure the accuracy of the data entered in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by all CMMS users on the vessel. Position Summary

The Quality and Training Advisor (QTA) is responsible for advising offshore personnel on Pacific Drilling Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Training management systems on board the vessel. The QTA assists in enhancing the QHSE skills of crew.

Position Scope

The position assists, recommends and advises the Vessel Management Team, the department supervisors and the crews on Quality, HSE and Training matters.
